• Students must wear a CLEAN 316 BJJ uniform. Matching jacket, rash guard, and pants when training in a Gi class. Rash guard & Shorts or leggings in No-Gi class.
• Students are REQUIRED to practice good hygiene and keep themselves & their uniform clean. Failure to do so is disrespectful to your training partners & might prevent your ability to train.
• Keep nails clipped appropriately (Below the tip of your fingers/toes) for everyone's safety.
• Students must change in the bathroom or changing room. Shirts or rash guards are required at ALL times.
• Bow towards the mat before entering and leaving the training area.
• Classes Should Start formally by the class instructor. Students should be aligned opposite of the instructor and in order of belt rank.
• If you are late, wait for the instructor's permission before stepping on the mat.
• If you leave the academy before the end of class, please ask
the instructor's permission.
• Shoes, food, and drinks are prohibited on the mat. Water is permitted in designated areas.
• Refer to the black belt instructors as Professor.
• Keep a respectful attitude inside the academy.
• Remain quiet and attentive in Class, especially when the instructor is demonstrating a technique.
• Aggressive language or swearing within the academy is not allowed. Control your temper at all times while training.
• The use of cell phones during class is prohibited. Usage is permitted once class has been formally dismissed
• All metal objects, piercings, jewelry, strings or the like should be removed.
• All students are required to report any injury, health, or skin conditions to their instructor prior to joining class.
• Do not abuse your knowledge of the martial arts! Jiu Jitsu should only be used to protect yourself and others.
